The Committee on Government Organization moves to amend the bill on page one by striking out the enacting section;

On page one, section eighteen, line one after the words “July 1” and after the comma by striking out the year “2017” and inserting in lieu thereof the year “2018”;

On page one, section eighteen, line four after the word “obtaining” by striking out the words “a report or reports from a structural engineering inspection” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “an engineering report”;

On page one, section eighteen, line nine, after the word “location” and after the comma, by inserting the word “adequate”;

On page one, section eighteen, line ten, after the word “public” by inserting the words “and employees”;

On page two, section eighteen, line eleven, after the word “the” by striking out the words “inspection report or” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “engineering and any other”;

On page two, section eighteen, after line twelve, by adding thereto a new subsection “(c)” to read as follows:

“(c) The state entity shall forward a copy of the completed engineering report, and cost-benefit analysis of the purchase or renovation, to the Real Estate Division, established in §5A-10-1 et seq. of this code.”;

On page three, section five, line thirty-three following the word “obtaining” by striking out the words “a report or reports from a structural engineering inspection” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “an engineering report and any other reports”

On page three, section five, line thirty-nine, after the word “location” and after the comma, by inserting the word “adequate”;

On page three, section five, line forty, after the word “public” by inserting the words “and employees”;

On page three, section five, line forty-one, after the second word “the” by striking out the words “inspection report or reports” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “engineering report and any other reports”;

And

On page three, section five, after line forty-two, by adding thereto a new subsection “(e)” to read as follows:

“(e) The executive director shall forward a copy of the completed engineering report, any other reports, and cost-benefit analysis of the purchase or renovation, to the secretary.  The secretary shall recommend that the project be authorized, that the project be modified, or that the authorization for the project be rejected.”
